Welcome to the First-Time Referee Course! This program is designed to equip aspiring referees with the knowledge and skills necessary to officiate soccer matches with confidence and competence.

Course Objectives:

Facilitate a Fair, Fun, and Safe Game: Learn how to enforce and apply the Laws of the Game to ensure a fair, enjoyable, and safe experience for all players.

Decision-Making and Communication: Develop the ability to make accurate decisions based on the perception and interpretation of players’ actions and communicate these decisions clearly and effectively.

Laws of the Game Education: Gain a thorough understanding of the Laws of the Game and learn how to facilitate this understanding among players and coaches.

Date and Time: August 4th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Location: The Gym at Victor Lord Park

To all the parents out there who think they know the game better than our referees—now’s your chance to shine! If you’ve ever found yourself shouting advice from the sidelines, this is the perfect opportunity to put your knowledge to the test. Join us for an afternoon of learning, fun, and maybe a little bit of humble pie. We promise it’s a lot harder than it looks, but with your enthusiasm and our training, you’ll be ready to make the right calls in no time!

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a Referee license for the current registration year. With the license and badge, Referees will be eligible to officiate competitive, small-sided, or recreational youth and amateur adult matches.
